About the Academy of Human Resource Development Foundation
The AHRD Foundation was founded in 2000 as a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. The Foundation functions separately from the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD), but it is closely linked to and supportive of the AHRD mission.
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors drawn from the human resource development (HRD) profession, including well-respected academics, leaders and practitioners, and representatives from the AHRD Executive Board. The Foundation is led by a president who serves to oversee the accomplishment of the Foundation's mission and activities. To support its work, the Foundation raises funds using various means, all of which are used to support scholarship in HRD. All contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible in the United States.
